ProposesdĀ Facilities
1. Richgro Bioenergy Plant (Jandakot)
An $8 million state-of-the-art anaerobic digestion and combined heat and power (CHP) facility. Located right next to metropolitan composting operations, this facility handles 35,000 to 50,000 tonnes of commercial and industrial organic food waste per year (approx. 100 to 137 tonnes per day). Learn how organic waste sourced from supermarkets, breweries, milk factories, and chicken farms is diverted from landfills and transformed into clean electricity and heat.
2. C-Wise Carbon Recycling (Nambeelup)
A prominent Western Australian-owned company focused on recycling organic carbon. Discover their smart, natural solutions that allow farms, communities, and industries to seamlessly integrate organic carbon recovery into their day-to-day operations.
3. Purearth Organic Recycling
An organic recycling and soil-manufacturing leader operating a specialized Waste Processing Facility in the Northam Shire. See how the facility systematically converts green waste and FOGO (Food Organics and Garden Organics) into high-nutrient certified composts, mulches, and customized soil mixes.
4. Kwinana Energy Recovery
Australia's first operational energy recovery facility, owned and operated by ACCIONA. The tour includes a detailed technical overview of their internationally established technology, which converts non-recyclable residual waste into renewable baseload electricity while simultaneously recovering valuable metals and materials that would otherwise end up in landfill.
